Wow, what a year! North Lake Harbour was “the” place to be in 2018 if you were looking for Giant Bluefin Tuna, and we had a front row seat for the action.

On July 16th, our first trip out, we caught our 1st fish of the season and we didn’t look back. The season that followed turned out to be a very good one indeed, with many trips recording large schools of tuna feeding on the surface, and fish of various sizes being released. Both of these factors point to a very healthy stock for now, and very importantly, into the future.

Each year we at Scott Bruce Tuna Charters, are very fortunate to have some very interesting guests from all walks of life and from all over the world. This year some of our better know guests included NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr., Gen Vincent of the industrial rock band the Genitorturers, a Chinese television celebrity, and the Japanese Ambassador to Canada. We even made it onto television screens around the world ourselves, as we were the premiere episode of season 2 for an awesome fishing show “Roadfish”.

Every trip brought forth its own story; we enjoyed some good ones and made some new friends along the way. It’s the people that we bring out to share in this fishery with us that really make us feel fortunate to do what we do.
We invite anyone who may be in the Laval, Quebec area, January 24th-27th, to join us at the Salon National de la Pourvoirie. We will be in booth 524, which we will be sharing with Guide de Peche Sylvain Blanchette. Mr Marc Tremblay will also be joining us at the show to help answer questions and share his experiences fishing with us. Marc and Sylvain have been with us many times, both as guests and as guides working alongside us.

We are booking now for the upcoming 2019 season and look forward to hearing from you soon!
All the best, from our family to yours!
